AI Now Summit 2026

Collected Oct 1, 2026

Mistral announced at the AI Now Summit 2026 an integrated AI stack for industrial engineering, combining advanced physics models, engineering expertise, and robotics. The company said the solution enables industrial engineers to accelerate design, eliminate simulation bottlenecks, and optimize asset performance while maintaining control over proprietary data, intellectual property, and production environments.

Partnerships span three companies. With Airbus, Mistral said it is implementing advanced AI at the core of operations and processes, from initial design to on-board capabilities, and that the partnership will expand across Airbus' commercial aircraft, helicopter, defence, and space activities. For BMW Group, Mistral said it is a central partner for the company's Large Industry Model initiative, which unifies engineering knowledge and AI expertise to build multimodal reasoning models on engineering data for complex development use cases such as crash simulation. ASML has started working with Mistral on engineering use cases including optimizing the design of high-performance parts, surrogate models, and control loops, with the intent to demonstrate that AI grounded in deep domain expertise, system knowledge, and real-world constraints can create value in advanced semiconductor environments. On May 22, Mistral said it announced the acquisition of Emmi, bringing advanced scientific capabilities to its industrial engineering offerings.

Mistral said its agentic tool Vibe is now one agent for long-running, multi-step work, catching up across inbox and calendar, running deep research, drafting deliverables, and orchestrating recurring processes. It also takes coding work from request to merged change across the web app, editor, and terminal, building features, fixing bugs, refactoring code, and shipping reviewable pull requests. Vibe runs on flagship Mistral models optimized for reasoning, agentic tasks, tool calls, and coding.

The company also announced the Les Ulis site in Essonne, a new 10 MW facility dedicated to inference operations. Scheduled to open in Q3 2026, Mistral said the site will address compute supply chain risks by providing direct control over capacity and greater security and transparency as training and inference hardware converge.
