QCon London 2027 Announces 15 Tracks on Production AI, Architecture, and Engineering at Scale

QCon London 2027 has announced a 15-track program organized around production AI, architecture, and engineering at scale. The conference is scheduled for April 13–16 at the QEII Centre in London, with the conference running April 13–15 and a certification workshop on April 16. More than 75 practitioner speakers are listed to share production systems they built, the trade-offs behind them, and what they learned when designs met real workloads and organizational constraints.
The program includes "Eval Platforms & Guardrails for Agentic AI Systems" and "Protecting Systems from Humans and Agents," covering evaluation systems, feedback loops, safety mechanisms, and how security changes when failures can originate from human error as well as autonomous agents. "Architecture in the Age of AI" and "Architectures You've Always Wondered About" address integrating AI while maintaining scalable and reliable systems and the compromises behind emerging architectural ideas. "Designing the SDLC for the Next Era of Software Engineering" and "Using AI for Engineering" cover evolving workflows and building, scaling, and maintaining AI-driven systems after the prototype stage.
Other tracks include "Debugging Distributed Systems," "Connecting Systems: APIs, Protocols, Observability," "Modern Data Architectures and Platforms," and "Engineering for High Performance." Leadership tracks are "Staff+ Engineering Skills" and "Managing Teams in an AI-Driven World."
Unconference sessions, longer breaks, and session recordings available for 12 months are listed. An InfoQ Certified Software Architect in Emerging Technologies program combines the three conference days with a peer cohort and a half-day workshop on April 16 led by Luca Mezzalira, described as an O'Reilly author and former AWS and DAZN architect; participants earn the ICSAET credential after completing the program. Early-bird conference tickets are £2,290 through October 13, and conference plus certification tickets are £2,800 through October 13.
