Amazon Alexa Plus keeps creepily singing ‘lalala’ for minutes on end

Collected Oct 6, 2026

Multiple Amazon Echo smart speakers running Alexa Plus have been reported to repeat "lalala" for minutes at a time, according to user reports. The behavior has appeared across several types of Echo speakers.

The issue has been reported repeatedly on Reddit over the last few weeks, most recently three days before publication. Users have posted videos of the speakers saying or singing only "lalala" on repeat, often in the middle of conversations. When asked about the behavior, Alexa is said to be unaware of what it has been doing.

Amazon is aware of the issue, the company told Android Authority. Android Authority also uploaded a video of the behavior to YouTube.

The Echo Studio is among the speakers that run Alexa Plus.
