OpenAI is sticking more ads in ChatGPT

OpenAI announced on Monday that it is introducing a new visual advertising format in ChatGPT. According to the announcement, the ads will place images of sponsored products and services on the screen, and OpenAI will begin testing them in the US later this month.
The format will "initially" appear when users generate images with ChatGPT. The company said the visual ads will remain separate from the image a user generates and will "not influence the answers ChatGPT provides."
OpenAI first brought ads to ChatGPT in February. Until now, those ads only displayed a company's name, logo, and a link to its product within a "sponsored" section beneath the chat. The new format adds images of sponsored products and services.
OpenAI said ads will not appear for subscribers to ChatGPT's Plus and Pro tiers, according to the announcement.
