Anthropic's Claude Code has been running a 50% extra-usage promotion for the past few months, and that promotion ends on September 14. Rather than reverting to the previous baseline, Anthropic is making a permanent 25% increase to Claude Code usage limits. Per the reported figures: before May 13 users had 100 units; from May 13 to September 14 they had 150 units; after September 14 they will have 125 units.

Users are also complaining about Anthropic's marketing on the "5x" and "20x" plans, where the 5x and 20x limits apply to the 5-hour limit on the $100 and $200 plans, while total usage multiples are only about 3.5x and 6-8x respectively.

Separately, OpenAI has proposed ending Cursor's direct model access on November 12, under which Cursor would not receive future models. OpenAI said it is not confident SpaceX will stay within its terms.

OpenClaw 2.0 has been released, with easier setup and new features including a browser app and shared cloud sessions that let a teammate join or take over live agent work without losing context. The OpenClaw team used a shared agent to build the release, according to the report.

Other items mentioned include Infinite Slop, described as Twitch except AI makes whatever chat asks for next, a project from Peiter Levels powered by the H3 Max model from Fal that got 37,000 people to tune in on day one, with Fal.live described as a similar platform. Also noted: a 10-day hackathon for tools built with WebMCP; £100M of UK government contracts for British AI startups with upfront payments and no turnover minimum; and Meta's coding agent leaving beta.
