Rally Up: ‘Gears of War: E-Day’ Launches on GeForce NOW

Collected Oct 8, 2026

Gears of War: E-Day is now available to stream on GeForce NOW, following its global release on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Set 14 years before the original Gears of War, the prequel follows Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago during the arrival of the Locust Horde on Emergence Day.

Ultimate members can play with GeForce RTX 5080-class performance in the cloud, along with NVIDIA DLSS and NVIDIA Reflex. The game supports campaign missions plus cooperative and competitive modes, and streams to low-power laptops, Macs, mobile devices, handhelds, and Firefox and other browsers without large downloads.

This week's GFN Thursday adds 10 games to the library, seven of them new releases. Gears of War: E-Day is available on Steam and Xbox and on Game Pass. STAR WARS: Galactic Racer launched on Steam Oct. 6. Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival, Forever Ago, Order of the Sinking Star and Silver Pines all arrived on Steam Oct. 8, and Permafrost on Oct. 9. Graveyard Keeper 2, Solasta II and Tyr are also joining from Steam.

NVIDIA also said Fire TV users will soon be able to purchase GeForce NOW memberships directly through Amazon, with availability expected in the coming weeks. Separately, the Xbox version of Dune: Awakening did not join GeForce NOW in September as previously shared, and NVIDIA directed users to GFN Thursday for updates. Release dates reflect when games launch on their respective stores; GeForce NOW availability may vary because titles are onboarded after release and added throughout the week. Gamers can try premium cloud gaming with a day pass, and the cost of that pass can be applied toward a first monthly membership.

Why it matters: The new releases and Amazon purchase path expand what GeForce NOW members can play and how they can sign up, while the Dune: Awakening delay shows cloud availability can lag store launches.
